Leads and manages pricing efforts on new business proposals and activities supporting new business for the business development team in Government Services. Overall responsibility for decisions impacting pricing to win new business for government services team.Must be an expert with Microsoft Excel, have significant experience in price proposal modeling willing to learn and work within the cost structures on many unique business units.Must be able to assess existing cost centers, develop pricing models, and make recommendations to improve the overall price to win for new business activities.Prefer candidate with knowledge and experience with Pro Pricer, since most of our new business will be with the U.S. Government.


Responsibilities:


Accountable to the Vice President of Business Development, advising and producing pricing methodologies and practices that lead to winning proposals in government services. Develops pricing templates, Excel spreadsheets to support proposal requirements and makes actionable recommendations on both pricing strategy and owns price volumes for all new business proposals.

Oversees the development of executive reports and analysis related to business development in support of forecast, KPIs, etc. Directs concise, timely and effective analysis to support all new business pricing. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the financial data developed by the business development team.

Leads and develops a high performance consultant teams by providing by holding frequent discussions and designing feedback loops into work to meet timelines; sets clear objectives and measures of success, monitors progress and evaluates team's performance/results to build pricing volumes. Reviews and is accountable for all internal and external pricing activities.

Provides direction, governance and oversight of all BD financial activities.

Enforces internal policies and procedures for ERP system and accounting functions.

Responsible for the oversight of BD financial activities and associated internal and external audits.


Qualifications:


Strong technical knowledge and experience with pricing tools (Excel is a must / prefer ProPricer as well), methodologies, and cost models.

Proven knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Planning and Analysis along with a strong Strategic and Operational understanding of higher-level business decision making.Knowledge of Government cost accounting standards and FAR provisions. Strong financial modeling & analysis skills.

Ability to clearly and consistently get information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing via multiple methods (i.e., presentations to groups both large and small).Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action.

A good listener with outstanding interpersonal influencing qualities and a natural, effective consultative style.Someone who is sought out for their opinions and counsel and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies.  

Ability to respond to multiple discipline requirements with financial guidance, recognizing the potential impact on the unit’s results which include the understanding and evaluation of contract terms and conditions.

Bachelor’s Degree required

MBA, CPA, master’s degree in business or industry related experience, a plus.

10+ years’ relevant work experience required

5+ years working directly with pricing tools.

Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance
