The Partner role within Mercer is a Senior Leadership role.You will use your industry contacts and deep knowledge of the M&A landscape to win business, develop intellectual capital and lead domestic and global engagements. Your ability to understand the dynamics of the transaction, marshal the right team members and resource will set the table for success. Working with our world class consultants and our client’s Executive teams you will help set out road maps for buyers and sellers in the due diligence process. Leveraging your deep understanding of benefits and human capital you will drive post-merger strategies in health, wealth and careers to build the company’s most important asset, their people.

Additional Responsibilities


M&A Engagement leadership with coordinators on US and multi-national M&A projects for private equity and corporate clients, involving single or multiple lines of business, to provide leadership in the delivery of client solutions by:

Providing leadership and momentum to cross-LOB Mercer teams and client teams as needed for M&A project success; providing project management and on-site Project Management Office leadership and management services to establish, maintain and improve project infrastructure

Leading in the delivery of culture, playbook, training and other M&A projects

Leading and conducting due diligence, due by close and transition projects for private equity and corporate clients

Leveraging line of business consultants to deliver on subject matter expertise

Support the business goals of Global M&A Consulting Services by:

Identifying and closing in on value added opportunities for the client throughout the M&A engagement

Leading business development activities by, e.g., developing materials, researching clients, prospects and Mercer offerings, preparing proposals, Engagement Letters / SOWs, conducting conflict checks and managing M&A protocols.

Support development of the business (Intellectual Capital development, special projects, compliance, professional development)
