The President and Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall direction and administration of programs, products and services provided by the Bank, including the Bank's financial performance, credit quality, business development, operations, regulatory compliance and risk management. Ensures all aspects of the Bank's activities operate in a safe and sound manner. Collaborates with Central Bancompany's Chief Executive Officers to achieve holding company goals and performance. Accountable for oversight and management of quality loan portfolios and development of deposit growth and retention.

Performs responsibilities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, Central Bancompany's Code of Conduct and Ethics, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Oversees direction and administration of programs, products and services provided by the bank, including the Bank's financial performance, credit quality, business development, operations, regulatory compliance and risk management; ensures all aspects of the Bank's activities operate in a safe and sound manner, and provides the highest level of customer relations and service.

Ensures objectives and goals designated by Central Bancompany and the Bank's Board of Directors are properly executed as directed; reports to the holding company Senior Management and to the Board to keep them fully informed on conditions and operations of Bank and of the important factors influencing operations and decisions made by senior management. Participates as a member of the Bank's Board of Directors attending all meetings.

Plans and recommends policies and programs which will promote objectives and goals of the Bank; ensures ongoing evaluation systems are in place related to goals and reports progress to Board on a regular basis. Executes contracts and commitments as may be authorized by the Board, the Bancompany, or by established policies.

Defines and executes current strategic plans, budgets, goals and objectives that result in positive growth in equity, profits, loans and deposits, return on assets, return on investment, quality financial services, culture and human resources, and service to the community in the best interest of the shareholders, Board, customers, employees and community.

Supervises the Bank's executive management team, performing personnel actions including evaluations, disciplinary action, hiring of necessary staff and succession planning. Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, values diversity, promotes a working environment free of harassment of any type; builds a diverse workforce and supports affirmative action, ensuring adherence to EEO guidelines.

Serves as chair of committees as needed, coordinating the Bank's asset/liability programs to facilitate the assessment and control of interest rate risk and ensures compliance with Bank financial objectives. Works closely with the Chief Credit Officer to ensure the overall quality of the lending portfolio and participates as a member of the Bank's Loan Committee.

Monitors financial performance, reviewing the balance sheets and reviewing monthly financials. Analyzes budget variances and communicates with members of management. Oversees assets and liabilities, deposit and loan rates.

Engages in business development through established network of contacts and assists members of management with customer's calls. Answers and advises on complex customer problems and inquiries.

Works closely with the Bancompany's compliance officers, Risk Management Officer and CRA staff to ensure the Bank's compliance with all applicable banking laws, rules and regulations, and assesses the effect of regulatory changes on overall Bank compliance and risk. Ensures expectations are communicated.

Maintains industry awareness by reading and reviewing publications to be informed and able to converse about pertinent economic, governmental, and community related matters.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a business related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing required knowledge, skill and abilities to successfully fulfill responsibilities. A professional banking school completion and/or accredited education beyond a college degree would be desirable.

Experience and knowledge in bank operations, management and supervisory responsibilities and regulations. Exceptional organization skills with ability to provide leadership and supervision to ensure maximum productivity, with demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills. Knowledge of human resource labor laws and policies.

Lending experience would be desirable, with knowledge of current bank lending procedures and policies, regulations, lien laws, collection/bankruptcy regulations and loan documentation, demonstrating sound judgement in decision-making.

Knowledge of general accounting, payroll, budgeting, and related record keeping systems in financial institutions. Math skills to recognize errors; and effectively compute rate, ratio and percentages; and evaluate acceptable risk in lending and relationships.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to instruct others, analyze and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence and speak clearly to customers and employees. Effective problem solving skills, ability to independently handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks. Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations. Proven experience in making good business decisions.

Thorough understanding of Bancompany and management procedures; ability to plan activities, initiative to organize functions necessary to accomplish Bank activities and effectively staff and direct employees toward desired objectives.

Initiative in community service, seeking opportunities to understand the community's financial opportunities; develop an established network and grow as a community leader. Must establish residency in Sedalia to represent and support Central Bank within the community.

Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.
