The President is responsible and accountable for achieving and sustaining positive differentiation of consumer-focused clinical care at Texas Health Dallas, based on consumer insights and research, consumer-centric design principles and relevant strategies, tactics and objectives established at the JOC and System level.This officer is expected to work in close collaboration, coordination and integration with the Hospital Channel Chief Quality Officer; the entity’s Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer; and other JOC and Texas Health leaders to advance the ongoing transformation of Texas Health Dallas in a nimble, adaptable and action-oriented manner.The direct reports to this position include the Chief Nursing Officer, the Chief Medical Officer, Vice President of Women’s Services, and the Senior Director of Facilities.
The President has the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for the successful deployment, execution and sustainability of all JOC and system strategies, tactics and action plans that are relevant at Texas Health Dallas, and doing so in accordance with the specifications established by the system’s executive leadership
Responsible and accountable for the consumer and care team experience at Texas Health Dallas
Responsible and accountable for high reliability of all clinical and non-clinical operations at Texas Health Dallas, with special emphasis on patient safety and employee safety
Responsible and accountable for the clinical, operational and financial performance of Texas Health Dallas
Responsible and accountable for maintaining regulatory compliance, accreditation and licensure of all relevant programs, services and assets at Texas Health Dallas
Responsible for performance and accountability management of all direct reports based on annual operating plans that set forth clear and measurable goals, priorities, objectives and key results that are tightly aligned with system strategies, tactics, action plans, deliverables and specifications
Responsible and accountable for optimizing engagement and alignment with physicians, nurses, other clinicians and all members of the workforce who serve on the care teams at Texas Health Dallas, including successful execution of change management strategies and tactics
Responsible for establishing systematic and highly reliable processes for the identification and sustainable spread of best practices from the JOC, the Texas Health Hospital Channel and System at Texas Health Dallas; continuously improving the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of all resources, both labor and non-labor; reducing or eliminating avoidable waste; improving ease of use; and, successfully deploying standardized policies, procedures, practices and processes at Texas Health Dallas
Responsible for talent development and succession planning at Texas Health Dallas
Serve as a thought leader and significant contributor to the development of action plans to advance specific strategic initiatives and optimize the hospital’s growth and development
Serve as a role model of Texas Health’s mission, vision, values, leadership behaviors, Promise standards and Code of Business Ethics; practice servant leadership with a focus on collaboration
Promote clinical integration, improvement and alignment to advance patient outcomes while monitoring quality outcomes and maintaining continuous readiness for regulatory inspections.
Represent the hospital in the community through active participation and engagement. Establish and maintain relationships with business, civic and government entities.Actively support the philanthropic goals of the system with the hospital board and within the community.
In conjunction with SWHR JOC and Hospital leaders, implement strategic objectives for THD’s operating plan that include growth in those clinical programs meriting priority attention in each cycle of the annual fiscal plan.
Develop innovative ideas/strategies that will strengthen THD’s position in their competitive market, and in conjunction with corporate leadership prioritize and pursue appropriately.

Education and/or Experience:
Qualified physician candidates who meet or exceed the relevant requirements for leadership experience (see below) are strongly preferred.Non-physician candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a relevant field.
Ten years of progressive administrative experience and P&L responsibility for an enterprise with > $300 million in net revenue. Prefer five years of experience as a hospital president or equivalent experience overseeing hospital operations or hospital performance management.
A track record for developing strong, trusting, collaborative physician relations and an appreciation for and experience in partnering with and understanding the dynamics of a mixed model medical staff. Experience in managing physician and organizational conflict.
Experience developing and implementing a continuous improvement culture with a strong familiarity of process improvement methodologies and systems that sustain an environment of quality and cost improvement.
