Leading Manufacturing / Operations Company Aerospace Systems (NGAS) is looking for an Engineer 3 for Palmdale, CA facility to support a program. 

The responsibilities include: 

Areas of expertise should include: change integration and management, technical and program review boards leadership, cross IPT technical integration, software development, supporting chief engineers in defect analysis and path forwards, integrated function capabilities, IFC planning, proposal development, management of engineering change proposals, EVM cost schedule, Variance Analysis, Risk /Opportunity assessment and execution and management of change requests. Project Engineering helps ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product needs or actions into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Focus is on change and technical integration of complex issues as well as how our solutions affect our program costs and schedules

Provide engineering support, analysis, and support for the development of innovative systems

Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Designs and analyzes engineering drawings, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Create metrics and trend analysis for health of engineering dept. area including accountability, supportive metrics for risk, and opportunity and process improvements.  

Processes tool and calibrations assessments. 

Represent the program during corporate, DCMA, GGR/GFR and process audits. 

Ensure contractual compliance along with ground flight operations requirements.

Provide functional support to area manager 

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of production or manufacturing experience to include engineering design, engineering processes and control, manufacturing processes, configuration management, ensuring specifications are met, or understanding quality processes OR a Master’s degree in STEM discipline and 3 years of production or manufacturing experience to include engineering design, engineering processes and control, manufacturing processes, configuration management, ensuring specifications are met, or understanding quality processes

Active in-scope Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within 365 of submittal.  


Preferred Qualifications:

American Society Quality (ASQ) Certifications. 

Six Sigma Training, Green or Black Belt status would be a plus

Proficient In Microsoft Excel
