The Engineering Environment Development and Support (EEDS) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal / Senior Principal Software Engineer based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Engineer:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or a related engineering discipline

5 years of experience with enterprise-wide PLM systems

5 years industry experience in a Lead Technical role

Java and C/C++ coding experience

Able to apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.

Experience with working and leading effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country and influencing others to action who are not direct reports.

Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality. Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are also required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be proficient with MS Windows operating system environment and MS Office applications.

Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Software Engineer:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or a related engineering discipline

9 years of experience with enterprise-wide PLM systems

9 years industry experience in a Lead Technical role

Java and C/C++ coding experience

Prior experience applying engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.

Demonstrated experience with working and leading effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country and influencing others to action who are not direct reports.

Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality. Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are also required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be proficient with MS Windows operating system environment and MS Office applications.

Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. 


Preferred Qualifications:


Teamcenter Unified or Enterprise experience

Proven track record supporting major Teamcenter software in an enterprise environment with multiple geographically disperse instances.

Familiarized with different BOM’s (CAD-BOM, EBOM, MBOM )

Hands on Experience with ACL’s, Workflows management, ECN/ECR ( Change Management)

2+ years of experience using PTC Creo or Siemens NX 3D modeling design software.

Strong knowledge of the cable design process both in the logical (electrical) and physical (3D mechanical) design areas, at least 2 year of years working experience using electrical and mechanical cables design automation tools with preference to Zuken’s E3

Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher
