Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector and Cyber Intelligence Mission Solutions team is seeking a smart and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team in the Northern Virginia area.
The Engineer will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
This position may be filled as a Principal level 3 or Sr. Principal level 4.
Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience, a PhD with no experience required, or a total of 9 years of experience without a degree.
Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of related experience, a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience, a PhD with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or a total of 13 years of experience without a degree.
Active TS/SCI Clearance and the ability to obtain a Polygraph
Proficiency with Windows or Linux
Experience with scripting languages; Unix Shell Scripts, Python, Bash, Powershell awk, etc.
Understanding of firewalls, VPN tunneling and other general networking technologies.
Experience with AWS or a AWS Certification
Experience with Microsoft Server 2012 and/or 2016
Active Polygraph Clearance
