As the Product Manager you will be responsible for managing assigned product lines and projects which includes: product evaluation and positioning, the development and execution of product roadmaps, and overall product line profitability, as well as one or more associate product managers.
Manage overall product line profitability; develop and implement strategies to improve product line profitability.
Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing on product evaluation for potential new products and/or rationalizations/modifications.
Lead projects to achieve product line objectives that do not fall into the New Product Development/AMPIP process.
Develop and execute product roadmaps to achieve business goals.
Perform extensive analysis and planning for product positioning and go to market strategies.
Collaborate with Pricing and Tactical Marketing on product pricing, sales estimates/forecasts and margin analysis. Provide necessary support and input for sales and marketing strategies and tools.
Serve as the voice of the customer for assigned product lines, and act as the face of the product line for the business.
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or Engineering required. Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or Engineering preferred.
Five or more years of post-collegiate, professional work experience in the manufacturing or agriculture industries.
Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence rather than control (project leadership/strategic direction).
Ability to analyze and synthesize data and develop strategic recommendations.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) including pivot tables, IF statements, VLOOKUP, charts, tables and graphs.
Excellent oral/written communication skills, including excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and relationship-building across functions.
Familiarity with margin management, financial reporting, and profitability reporting with variances.
