The Mission Planning and Precision Engagement (M2Pe) Program Director will maintain profit and loss responsibility for a key BAE Systems directorate delivering state of the art software systems and services. They will engage with senior management to establish a financial long range plan and drive growth to achieve agreed objectives.
He/She will be responsible for business execution outcomes for a wide portfolio of programs supporting the US DOD Mission Planning and Autonomy, Battle Management, C2 and Targeting communities. The Program Director will be responsible for ensuring that contractual requirements are met resourced properly and meet or exceed cost, schedule and performance commitments.
As Program Director, you will establish the vision for the organization, champion the organizational strategy and work closely with engineering to develop robust technical roadmaps to achieve organizational objectives. The program director is responsible for securing corporate investments, directing new business activities and engaging with the customer community to understand evolving needs and priorities. He/She will be responsible for hiring and development of the program management team and working closely with capture, new business and proposal development team members.
The M2Pe Program Director drives the organizational culture and commitment to meeting our customer s needs, establishing high-energy engagement with customers and team members, valuing diverse experiences and opinions and executing strong collaboration/team building with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired demonstrated experience in the following:
Strong program management experience: managing software development programs
Domain knowledge and experience working with US DOD aviation community and particularly engagement with customer acquisition program executive offices
Knowledge of and experience working with key customer organizations: AFLCMC, NAVAIR, SCO and RCO
Experience with Earned Value Management, SecDevOps and SAFE Agile program management tools/approaches.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Recent knowledge of US DOD (USAF desired) operational planning, targeting and C2 activities. Experience with DOD Acquisition as either contractor or government employee. Ability to effectively engage US DOD customers in communications related to contract execution and new business.
Current DOD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective leadership skills and employee growth and development
Preferred Skills and Education
Masters Degree in relevant engineering, management or domain focus;
Experience establishing business plans, developing organizational strategy and executing business capture.
