The Program Director is required to manage a major program for a top-tier CSP in the UK:Responsibilities include planning, coordination and completion of project milestones on time, within budget and within scope. The successful candidate is required to oversee all aspects of the associated projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and pro-actively manage the progress of the respective projects to include the management of the governance process, structure and senior management reporting for the status and project progress.
The successful candidate will be co-located and work directly with client to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The successful candidate will coordinate within the broader organisation to ensure all aspects of each project are aligned and resourced appropriately to deliver upon our contracted obligations.
We are seeking a sharp, creative, "out of the box thinker" who understands both the technological requirements balanced with the business management obligations towards a successful delivery. The successful candidate must be able to mobilise teams and motivate individuals to bring a successful delivery leveraging Nokia's global delivery model. The current opportunity is UK based but broader travel is a must.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors in the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Coordinate program governance bodies and participate in the meeting cadence.
Build and execute the project’s communication plan.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and processes.
Report and escalate to management as required.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimise project impact.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and repositories.
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each sub-project.
Delegate project tasks based on personnel strengths, skill sets and experience.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
Use and continually develop leadership skills.
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large scale IT projects ($Millions) including the management of large project teams / direct reports.
Advantage: Telecom and cloud experience, SI experience
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Full command of the English language.
UK residence and work permit (we will not sponsor relocation or immigration for this position).
Optional: UK Government Security clearance.
