The Program Manager is responsible for managing logistics of CPRIT funded projects involving tobacco cessation services being deployed in community clinics in North East Texas. Oversees daily operations and maintains close relationship with all involved Clinics, Champions and Administrators to ensure program goals are on target and met.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Manage Programs Monitor project timelines and recruitment goals. Strategizes with PI and teams to ensure goals are met. Prepare contracts with external and internal collaborators; recommends relevant expenditures to achieve project objectives. Manages long-term and short-term goals, guided by the vision and strategies defined by the project leadership. Ensures prompt, thorough reporting of all required project information to relevant requestors and prepares and submits progress reports to funding agencies. Monitor data for accurate reporting in project databases. May assist in the development of project databases for new grants. Maintain any tracking and inventory logs for project supplies. Prepare meeting agendas and lead team meetings. Communicate (via email, phone, teleconferencing, etc) in a timely and professional manner with all involved stakeholders. Maintains communication with all external stakeholders and is involved in troubleshooting recruitment issues. Facilitates the procurement and maintenance of supplies, resources and assets through collaboration with department Procurement Coordinator and program staff. Works with external vendors to request quotes and ensure incentive costs are within budget allocations.
Follow all research standards Maintain knowledge of the Institutional Review Board policies and research practices and guidelines. Carry out project procedures according to these standards, as applicable to the project. Prepare protocol modifications according to these guidelines for submission to the MD Anderson and WIC IRBs, as necessary.
Supervision of Staff Supervise Program coordinators, coordinators, research data, and any other administrative support staff on CPRIT projects. Provide proper guidance and oversight for these staff and prepare annual evaluations. Delegate appropriate tasks and monitor completion of work. Address performance issues in consultation with department senior leadership and prepare corrective action plans as necessary. Ensures staff completion of all required research and institutional trainings, updates department databases with this information.

• Required: Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred: Master's degree.
• Required: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
