The CTO & Customer Advocacy Director for Emerging CMT (Sub Saharan Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Pakistan Russia & CIS) in EMEA is a unique customer facing opportunity which requires excellent client facing skills, executive customer engagements technology evangelism and strategic thinking.This role is key to the development of new opportunities for Hitachi Vantara outside of the core storage portfolio and is pivotal in driving the transformation of the company in terms of what we sell, and how we sell it.
This role has a bonus element related to the performance of the CMT against revenue and profit targets.The bonus is paid out on a quarterly basis (2nd month following quarter end).
This role reports into the Regional VP for Emerging CMT, and also into the EMEA CTO and VP Customer Advocacy.
Client Facing – To be able to deliver a relevant Hitachi Vantara strategy and vision that is aligned to the specific customer/partner/event. To create an inspiring and exciting proposition at an executive level that enables the local sales teams to engage and to be able to sell the full potential of the Hitachi Vantara portfolio.To evangelise the Hitachi Vantara value to all customers and partners.
Operationalising the Go To Market strategy by:
Orchestrating and driving sales enablement via the big conversations; vertical industry propositions; and facilitating account clinics
Driving key programmes and initiatives across the CMT in support of the EMA and Global strategy – eg. Driving sales participation in selling strategic elements of the portfolio.
Supporting customer/partner events/roadshows
Supporting Press/Analyst briefings
Connecting customers/partners to Product Group (both US and Japan) and the Centres for Social Innovation
Consolidating feedback from customers re: products and services
Providing leadership across a wide virtual team and contributing as a senior experienced member of the CMT Leadership team in the regular cadence of meetings related to driving a successful outcome for the business
Weekly team calls/meetings
Quarterly business reviews
Strong Executive presence in client facing situations
Aptitude in sound decision making and problem solving in pressurised situations
Experience in applying solution-selling methodologies in enterprise accounts to maximise revenue growth
Ability to network effectively – collaborating and building trust with the global teams within Hitachi Vantara (CTO, PM, PMM, Sales Operations, Services & Partner Sales)
Able to map Hitachi Vantara solutions to customer business challenges and sell based on a growing library of business outcome focused references
Superior presentation skills: purposeful structure, crisp content, actionable delivery both in one-to-one situations and presenting to larger audiences
Able to work seamlessly in both direct and virtual matrixed environments, maintaining good rapport and demonstrating leadership and teamwork in cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and demonstrable analytical capability
10 years plus Sales/GM experience
Bachelor or Master degree education preferred but not essential
Able to travel extensively across the territory
