Everything written about eCommerce opportunity in Southeast Asia is overwhelmingly positive - a population of 600 million plus consumers, growing internet connectivity, broad penetration of smart phones, a young and tech savvy population and expanding GDP and purchasing power. The region’s rate of eCommerce share of total retail at around 1 percent shows enormous opportunity in comparison to 14-17% in the west and China.


Despite these extraordinary possibilities, the logistics environment in SE Asia remains a huge challenge.


Lazada eLogistics (LeL) mission is to address these challenges, delight customers and win them over to eCommerce. We are building an innovative, highly visible, low cost logistics network. Our operating model is based on an ecosystem of logistics partners stitched together with state of the art technology and our modular infrastructure


LeL is the Logistics arm of the Lazada Group and is structured around four operating Business Units

▪ Express: own B2C last mile delivery capabilities from pick-up to sort to delivery

▪ Transport: Management of our ecosystem of partners (3PLs) along all the transportation components

▪ Fulfilment: Operation of a network of warehouses that can fill retail orders on our own behalf, as well as providing fulfilment services to merchants and international brands

▪ Crossborder: Build-up and management of international logistics network giving seamlessly access to ASEAN


The role


The TM & OC VP/SVP is primarily responsible for developing and implementing the LEL organization and talent programs internally, which effectively prepare and develop the organization for business opportunities and challenges (e.g. restructuring, change management, goal setting, etc.), its internal talent supply chain (incl. performance, calibration, promotion, succession, etc.). Acting as the focal point between business managers, HR stakeholders and employees within the company to empower business growth and align employee engagement, performance and development around company’s mission, vision and values.


Professional Role Responsibility includes:

• Performance Management complete process

• Career Development and Leadership Program (Spark, Leap, Talent Mapping), Localise the group initiatives with a focus on HHC (Hipo, High Performing, Critical)

• Develop and Roll out functional Competency Model

• Drive employee engagement survey result and support new culture or values roll out

• As regional leader, you will work closely with Lazada group and LEL/LEX local team to ensure localisation and continuous improvements of the above programs and get management, HR stakeholders and employees’ buy-in/adoption


Job Requirements


• Strong capabilities in and experience with organization and talent supply solutions, from diagnosis and development to execution and improvement

• Business driven mindset and attitudes demonstrated by past success in aligning organization and talent solutions to business issues and propelling business growth

• A strong logic reasoner in connecting organization and talent solutions to business and employee needs and a strong storyteller in promoting improvements and innovations in the domains to business development and employee engagement

• Weathered and sophisticated to balance policy discipline and local needs and able to achieve scale of economies as well as local problem solutions

• A team player always with the bigger picture in mind, an open heart for continuous challenges and confidence to lead when business mandate requires

• Hands on enough to plan, access, develop, implement and enhance organization and talent programs by maximizing the Alibaba/Lazada’s best practices or off-the-shelf solutions

• Eager and fast to learn, and curious about people elements enabling business success

• Knowledge and understanding of current trends in HR analytics and its impact on organization and talent solutions

• 10 years of working experience in organization and talent domains
