The Precision Medicine team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual with a strong background in LC/MS/MS and shotgun lipidomic analysis. The candidate will be integrated into a multidisciplinary research team to investigate dynamic changes in the content of lipidome in various metabolic disease models, cellular systems, and biofluids utilizing innovative high resolution mass spectrometric approaches.Extensive knowledge of structure elucidation, various mass spectrometric platforms, diverse chromatographic approaches, and oxidized metabolite synthesis pathways in various disease etiologies is a plus.The candidate should also have a strong analytical chemistry background. The ideal candidate will have solid scientific training/productivity as identified through high impact publications demonstrating creative thinking as well as innovative technical approaches.


Responsibilities:


Drive the Company’s efforts in understanding lipid signaling in various disease models for effective investigation of compound MoA

Streamline analytical protocols and create validated workflows to support Company’s discovery pipeline using high resolution MS/MS analysis

Design scientific studies with clear goals and deliverables

Summarize and present scientific results and recommendations internally and externally

Manage and mentor a team of research associates

Qualifications:


Requires a Master’s degree with 3-4 years research or industry experience or a PhD with 1-4 year's postdoctoral experience in chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline with extensive knowledge of mass spectrometric analysis of metabolites

Broad understanding of cellular metabolism, analytical chemistry, and computational biology

Proven ability to prepare manuscripts for presentation and publication is required

Robust biological understanding of systems biology, neurodegeneration, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and cancer is desired, but not required

Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
