Report to the Group Manager with line responsibility for a group(s) of staff employees

Process owner for all Trade initiation functions with direct Oversight of workflows

Manage daily activities of the team including appropriate resource allocation, setting and reviewing performance objectives, goals, and target productivity and service quality expectations

Well-developed management skills and relevant experience within the discipline or subject matter of the area being managed

Responsible for the development of goals and objectives for the team as a whole, as well as the specific goals and objectives of individual team members

Identify procedural objectives and develop Operations tools that move the team toward accomplishment of the team’s goals

Plan and execute annual compensation review process and makes recommendations to Department Manager

Serve as escalation point for internal and external clients

Ensure that all audit and control requirements are met

Administer expenses within the P&L including variance explanation

Identify opportunities to improve overall operating efficiency and overall client satisfaction through an improved client experience

People Management: Set individual performance plans for members of the team and provides coaching and feedback through a formalized review process; create development and training plans as needed

Create and monitor appropriate metrics for the area as agreed upon with Department Manager

Network/navigate within the organization in order to troubleshoot escalated issues and bring appropriate closure

Train staff on new procedure or technology enhancements

Create, develop and maintain business relationships

Identify control deficiencies and implement appropriate procedures to mitigate any risk or control losses

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (MBA a plus)

10+ years’ experience in Securities Operations and Client Relationship Management 

5+ years of Operational Management Experience, manager of direct reports

5+ Multi-Product Industry Knowledge

Demonstrated Fund Administration, Custody & Clearing preferable DTCC andFED experience, Trade Processing Middle Office
