The Senior Account Director in Specialized Sales manages business development activities for high-profile named accounts and/or specific market segment(s) that lead to the expansion and growth of specialized products. The Sr AD manages the coordination and strategy on key accounts, with responsibility for the overall development and implementation of the account plan, with a focus on larger and more complicated accounts 


The Main Responsibilities


•  Drive account management responsibilities as an overlay sales specialist including solution creation, solution offering, configuration management, order issuance, service delivery, service management, and revenue recognition

•  Balance strategic and tactical thought leadership

•  Identify, bid on, negotiate and close new sales opportunities in order to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas

•  Provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts

•  Provide input and feedback to sales management about trends and changes taking place within the customer’s organization, and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary to improve Lumen's position with the customer

•  Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quotas


What We Look For in a Candidate


•  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus 6+ years of applicable experience; or 10+ years of applicable experience

•  Expert knowledge on specified products and/or solutions

•  Demonstrable success interacting with Product Management for nonstandard and custom requirements based upon customer needs

•  Knowledge and understanding of the Telecom Industry’s competitive landscape

•  Requires 50%+ time conducting sales activities and responsibilities outside of the office

Preferred Requirements

•  MBA or MS Degree in related field

•  Salesforce.com experience
