The Senior Analyst, Market Insights is responsible for executing critical analytics and reporting within the Global Business Insights Center of Excellence team (GBI), in support of the Ethicon franchise. The person in this position will serve as a representative on the Business Unit Insight team, and act as a key partner for the GBI Ethicon platform leads, GBI Regional partners, and GSM Finance. The role requires work with the Business Unit teams to analyze sales growth, market share, and market growth across platforms and regions. It will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding and will proactively recommend tools and techniques to support customer and marketplace understanding across the business. This role will work under the supervision of, and report to, the Associate Director, Global Business Insights.

Responsibilities:

Support Business Unit Insights Team in WW Market & Share Analytics and Competitive Reporting using Secondary fact-based insights and analytics programs to assess market and internal performance and forecasts to support strategic business needs.

Lead quarterly market growth and share analysis and reporting to Sr. leadership of key market and sales drivers across regions and platforms.

Critical working member of the Strategic Plan Core team, collaborating with global/regional partners to assist in delivering long term plans grounded in market dynamics and insights

Demonstrate an ability to influence multiple partners to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business discussions

Provide foundational learning and forecasting that helps to ensure that new products and programs are grounded in understanding of marketplace dynamics.

With supervision, support education and dissemination of existing knowledge estate and market information for key Business Unit Insight leads.

Support Global Business Insights Team by integrating a “single source of data” into meaningful and standardized reports to provide new and valuable market insights.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, statistics, mathematics, or related field is required. An MBA or Master’s Degree is preferred.

A minimum of four (4) years of experience in business analytics, finance, secondary market research, forecasting, strategic insights, or a related field is required.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are required.

Excellent personal leadership, collaboration, communication and presentation skills are required.

Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and ability to influence is required.

Expert knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel and Tableau is required.

Ability to understand, translate and integrate marketplace and secondary data tools into actionable insights to drive decision-making is required.

Ability to support cross-functional teams and work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines is required.

Strong project management skills are required.

Due to the nature of information reviewed in the role, a high level of discretion and confidentiality is required.

Experience in the medical device, hospital specialty, or healthcare field is preferred.

Experience with other analytical tools (SAS, SPSS) is preferred.
