This Business Development role has leadership responsibilities for business development within the C4ISR Solutions Business Area. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development for the ES Sector and will support the VP/GM of the C4ISR Solutions Business Area. A primary responsibility of this role is to grow the orders pipeline within C4ISR Solutions through the creation, identification and qualification of quality opportunities.


The role will be key in the development of new business strategies, execution of multiple marketing approaches, collaboration on product and technical roadmaps across both Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD accounts. It will also require frequent customer contacts and a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and management of a geographically dispersed BD team. Working with Product Line Director s (PLD s) and key program area directors/ managers, will shape and drive investment/ growth roadmap. Develop and execute a plan to fill orders pipeline with qualified opportunities that support the Business Areas strategic plan to outperform the market.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Grow the orders pipeline within C4ISR Solutions in both IC and DoD accounts through the creation, identification and qualification of quality opportunities


Refine and support the C4IISR Business Development process and methodology


Aggressively seek new business opportunities that are consistent with both the Business Area and Sector strategies by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and intercompany collaboration opportunities


Collaborate on the growth of advanced technologies and capabilities to support future customer needs


Support ES Business Development requirements through training, development, data requests, strategy meetings, and networking opportunities


Function as a member of the Business Development leadership team and pivotal member of the functional organization


Function as a member of the business leadership team to improve business execution/management and define growth strategies and opportunities


Mentor and develop Business Development team members and program managers assigned to C4ISR Solutions Business Area


Location may be Manassas, VA, San Diego, CA, or Hudson, NH

Shaping, identification, qualification and creation of new business opportunities


Prioritization of new business opportunities and resources to be applied


Creation and development of individual opportunity marketing plans and capture strategies, as well as for the campaign level marketing and strategies


Able to capture and win new business


Problem Solving and analytical skills to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision


Ability to hire, mentor, coach and train BD Directors/Managers and business area personnel to support business growth


Capable of tailoring business winning processes and leveraging business winning tools (Price-to-win, ) to ensure lean, effective business winning


Ability to collaborate/partner with Leading Manufacturing / Operations Company, Industry partners and our customers and lastly


A trusted advisor to the Business Area VPGM and the Sector VP of BD TEAM LEADER EXPERIENCES:


Success in leading a business development team


Experience designing and executing large business area strategies and associated campaigns


Existing customer and industry relationships


Detailed knowledge of the BAE phase review process, able to apply that knowledge


Understands and assisted with building the Integrated Business Plan


Experience selling and winning IC, DoD, and Aerospace Industry Partner business


Preferred Skills and Education


Preferred Skills:


Active TS/SCI clearance


Demonstrated winning NGA, IC3, and Navy business


Phase review chairman certified or ability to quickly obtain certification


Shipley assessed Capture Team Lead Belt


BD Lead for large competitive opportunities valued at >$200M (pre phase O thru 1B).


Built effective communications budgets, strategies and plans to include trade shows, billboards, print and videos.


Must be able to quickly and firmly grasp industry trends in particular acquisition policy


Master s degree and 20 years experience in leadership roles
