The Senior Business Development Manager (Sr. BDM) will be the primary owner for new business development activities and focus on region specific hunting. In this role, the Sr. BDM will be accountable for:

Creating and capturing demand for new business across all industries within the region and increase the growth of net new business

Identifying prospective clients & create the go to market plan for the identified territory

Building and developing strong client relations at senior executive and CXO levels, developing new business insights, and strategy to gain access and execute

Generating business from new logos and have the capability to drive and lead customer relationships into multi-million-dollar engagements

Generating leads by interacting with analysts, alliances and networking to open doors and gain access to the leadership team in establishing credibility and sell Wipro

Ability to build awareness with target customers teams within engineering, operations, development and research, IT and marketing teams and convert that awareness to closing

Ability to work in matrix environment with exposure to sell various lines of business for Wipro's service lines. Working closely with senior customer IS team (CIO, VPS and Directors) to suggest, advice, evaluate, and prime outsourcing initiatives in GDM

Ability to work with Global Teams and assimilate well within the organization’s culture

Working with the various service lines within Wipro on solution definition and creating value proposition for customers and opportunities

Able to articulate well and presenting at sr. level (VP/CIO) as needed

Ensuring high customer satisfaction by working closely with the project teams and achieving committed service quality 

Building credibility and gaining market share in the industry and territory

Understanding of technology and vertical platforms in order to strategize & craft solutions (along with pre-sales teams) to match customer needs is essential

Defining & directing Partnerships & Alliances strategy.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

7+ Years of consulting/IT industry experience

Previous Work Experience:

Proven track record of new business development at a top tier services / consulting firm in past 5 years

Proven record of building and maintaining relationships at senior levels (CXO and VP) 

Key Attributes:

Excellent problem solving, communication, team and client management skills are essential 

This role requires strong networking skills, ability to mobilize, build and motivate teams, a strong sense of personal initiative, and demonstrated capabilities of being a thought leader. The candidate must be able to create a structured team-based approach to problem solving, and must be able to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment

Effective communication and presentation skills – esp. to CXO level and senior executives
