The digital workplace is a key part in enabling organizations to becoming agile and support the move to a digital based business. Employees need to have the optimum office communication and collaboration technologies to drive their effectiveness whether they are in an Office, working from Home or Travelling, or in other words, in the “Smart Office” as Gartner defines this continuum of the digital workplace.

The recent events changing the way people are working has added further importance to this role as organizations turn to Information Technology applications to support both the increased virtual working and the Return To Office working – and everything in between.

You will be part of a dynamic team exploring how these new technologies will help organizations release the creativity and higher value work from their employees whilst gaining higher employee engagement.

This role creates thought leading “Smart Office” and Integrated Workplace Management System (WMS) research within our Applications Group clients through published research, conversations with client (Inquiry), stage presentations, teleconferences, and client meetings. It is important that you have a vision for how the “Smart Office” of the future will evolve worldwide as well as a good understanding of the key technologies and vendors in this market.

What you’ll do

As a Gartner analyst you will meet with clients every day on the phone, in a video conference, from the stage at a Gartner event or face-to-face during a sales support visit. In every client interaction analyst help clients to reach better decisions and unpick complex issues along with providing high quality, timely insight that is provocative as well as pragmatic. To support these conversations you will research markets, practices and trends and produce written research for Gartner clients to download and apply.

Conduct research and analysis in specific areas of expertise targeting client’s key initiatives.

Deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media.

Write high quality, clear, actionable, advisory research documents.

Predict how “Smart Office” digital workplace markets are developing, help clients in selecting the right vendor and assist vendors in overall market positioning.

Remain ahead of the curve on developments within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas.

Respond to client questions, create materials for and deliver to clients in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations.

With each client inquiry, set up the next action to inspire clients to more frequently experience the value of Gartner research and advice by suggesting relevant and complementary content and interactions.

Maintain the Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries.

Proactively work with the wider sales organization and service partners’ efforts to drive proactive engagement and help clients/prospects make progress against their critical priorities s to grow their business.
