The Senior Director of Partnership Development is responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the company, focusing on opportunities at the federal and state levels. This position also contributes to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including review of materials to ensure alignment with client needs and the company’s capabilities.Utilizes all Company resources including management, operations, and business development to achieve objectives. Serves as mentor to Director of Partnership Development.


What you bring to the table


Education:


Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Communications or related field

Master’s degree is desirable


Experience:


Experience in working with the criminal justice systems, or selling services to the government or similar agencies is preferred

8-10 years of professional experience

Industry experience and business development experience is highly desirable

State DOC experience preferred

Knowledge of sales strategies specifically for government sales and behavioral health industry

What you will do


Works with Operations and Partnership Development to identify and analyze new business opportunities and develop strategies for business development at the federal and state levels.

Identifies and closes sales opportunities nationwide, including assigned existing accounts and new accounts in order to meet and exceed assigned revenue and margin targets. Utilizes all Company resources including management, operations, and business development to achieve objectives.

Forecasts new and existing account growth and revenue as requested by the Group Vice President of Partnership and Government Affairs.

Develops and implements sales plans for targeted opportunities to ensure winning of new business.

Develops and maintains relationships with key customer contacts to educate the customer and promote company programs.

Tracks and reports on all sales activities utilizing salesforce.com. Provides regular status reports on sales activity to the Group Vice President of Partnership and Government Affairs.

Maintains knowledge of the correctional health industry and trends. Informs management on changing market conditions.

Provides customer status reports, key prospecting data, trip reports and other sales reports as requested.

Represents the company at national and local trade shows and conferences, mandatory bidders’ conferences, and public hearings.

Attends RFP pre-bid conference and site tours.

Writes or drafts key portions of the RFP response, such as transmittal/cover letters, executive summaries, and cost proposal.

Works with Director of Partnership Development to refine and develop sales skills, creating a viable pipeline and identifying decision makers within DOC.

Perform other duties as assigned.
