JOB SUMMARY: 

As a key member of the Leadership Team, Internal Title (VP of Sales) this position will be responsible for all retail store functions communicating the brand and ensuring customers have an engaging experience in each store, opening new locations, the retail P&L, meeting profit/growth targets, driving operational efficiencies, personnel management and all other areas of retail oversight.



JOBSCOPE:

This position requires a person who has a passion for creating unique and meaningful retail experiences and is focused on providing excellent customer service. Physical stores are a key part of our omni-channel business model as we have plans to grow our retail business 50% in the next five years.



JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Leads and Inspires a strong retail team

  • Ensure the vision is effectively communicated through the brick and mortar stores

  • Create a compelling best in class in-store customer experience

  • Achieve Retail P&L and KPI targets; including growing same store sales

  • Develop a template for retail sales growth

  • Oversee the planning, opening and running of new and existing stores

  • Create and implement procedures that maximize revenue, efficiency and inventory accuracy

  • Work closely with the Buying team to optimize inventory turns, margin, and product selection

  • Work closely with Marketing for promotions to maximize traffic, revenue and profitability

  • Work with Operations/Logistics to ensure efficient transfer of products, in home delivery, etc.

  • Leads through Managing and Accountability 


JOB REQUIREMENTS: 



  • Bachelors Degree 

  • Over 10 years of related experience 

  • Valid Driver License for the State of employment 

  • Up to 50% travel 

  • 18 years of age or older


REQUIRED SKILLS:



  • Knowledge of contract appliance industry with emphasis on high end two-step distribution

  • Experience in leading and managing a building supply sales & marketing organization

  • Strategic planning and business management skills

  • Sales management & leadership skills

  • Knowledge of construction industry

  • Ownership, Diversity, Teamwork, Building Relationships and Customer Satisfaction

  • Strategic thinker with change management experience 


PREFERRED SKILLS:



  • Direct sales management

  • Builder/remodeler industry background

  • Strong negotiation skills, and ability to develop and manage partner contracts

  • Ability to work with internal stakeholders to build consensus on key elements of strategy

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis

  • Strong sense of urgency and follow through in addressing issues

  • Love of teamwork, strong work ethic, and positive attitude
