Direct product strategy and oversee product planning and execution for assigned products throughout product life cycle to optimize profit and meet client expectations, marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Drive product direction and ensure that solutions meet market needs and client satisfaction objectives.
Analyze existing technologies, new technologies, market developments, and competition to identify product market opportunities.
Provide direction for product enhancements and product development requirements. Work closely with Research and Development to oversee designs, enhancements, and quality.
Collaborate with Sales and Product Marketing to determine strategies for product positioning, packaging, and pricing, advertising, and collateral development to produce the highest possible long-term success.
Oversee and/or lead product focus groups.Lead user conference sessions on assigned product(s) and general industry topics.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities for Product Management processes.
Manage the resolution of escalated client issues.
Participate in sales opportunities with sales team. Provide assistance needed throughout the sales process.
Participate in speaking engagements related to the evangelism of the organization’s products and services.
Interview, hire, and create on-boarding plans for new or transferred employees.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and educational activities to support employee development that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
Create performance goals and objectives; track and communicate progress.Prepare and conduct regular performance evaluations and corrective action plans.
Conduct regular staff meetings to maintain open communication and share information.
Encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills:
Business performance metrics including the collection of appropriate data, and the analysis and reporting of results against objective; inclusive of the following:
Internal: COGS, SG&A, revenue, margin and profit
External: market share, placements, competitor share, and promotion tracking
Strong organizational, planning and project management skills with a history of successful execution of plans.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills needed.
Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently, apply judgment, maintain stable performance under stress and flexibility in an evolving work environment.
Proven presentation skills.
Knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously as required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to organize activities and operations and lead others in accomplishing goals and objectives.
12 years progressively responsible management experience in software product management or equivalent financial industry experience
8 years Financial Industry experience.
5 years management experience.
Proven track record of product management accomplishments and initiatives with demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or technology related field. MBA highly desired but not required.
