As a Gartner analyst you will meet with clients every day. In each client interaction Gartner analysts help clients - including software Product Managers like yourself - solve their mission critical priorities.To provide actionable advice, you will be required to research and analyze the security trends of relevant enterprise software markets, advise regarding software product management best practices and trends, and collaborate with other analysts to publish high-impact, fact-based written research for Gartner clients.

Conduct software market research and analysis to understand emerging trends and potential disruptions

Use fact-based analysis to anticipate how the security features of enterprise software solutions are evolving

Write pragmatic and provocative research with actionable recommendations for software product managers

Deliver high quality engaging advice through client calls, in writing and via presentations

Support clients bringing competitive enterprise software products to market

Advise clients regarding product management best practices in order to drive product and team effectiveness

Help client buyers in their enterprise software evaluation and selection process, particularly around security features

Respond to press inquiries with statements presenting Gartner market research positions

Proactively work with the wider sales organization and deliver outstanding sales support in order to retain and grow the business

What you’ll need

Gartner analysts are widely viewed as experts in their technology domain. They know their markets, vendors, trends and business practices in order to deliver impactful market insights and create engaging client relationship. Most Gartner analysts have many years of domain experience and enjoy pushing to the edge of fresh, innovative thinking.

Role expertise in product management with the ability to successfully bringing software products to market. Expertise desired across the full range of product management responsibilities

Analyzing and sizing market opportunities, competitors, and building product strategy

Building the product roadmap, differentiating products and understanding customer needs

Launching products, pricing and packaging, and collaborating with sales, marketing and service

Managing through life cycle events, market disruptions, and measuring product performance

Leading product teams, adopting tools and new product management approaches

Deep market and competitor expertise in at least one enterprise software market including key security considerations for those markets

Emerging market trends and potential disruptions of the enterprise software market at global and regional levels



 for enterprise software in the face of evolving customer requirements and a changing regulatory environment

Leading enterprise software competitors and the ability to articulate via SWOT analysis

Changing enterprise software business models, pricing and packaging trends of the major vendors

Industry specific considerations and requirements that are defining the future of enterprise software

Demonstrated superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns while drawing and defending conclusions.

Strong business and analytical sills, as well as financial acumen

Articulate and succinct communication skills; public speaking skills advantage

Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology and/or technology research related role

Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred

Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally
