This role will lead the overall strategy, business development, and execution of the aerie brand’s growth internationally. Reporting directly to the SVP International, this role is a critical member of the International Leadership Team as well as the aerie Brand Leadership Team.He or she will ensure that all aspects of aerie’s international growth strategy are brought to life while maintaining connectivity to the brand’s overall DNA.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Strategically lead the commercial success of brand growth across all international geographies and channels, inclusive of Brick-and-Mortar, wholesale, concessions, and digital 


• Develop and drive cross functional activities that meet or exceed the International Division’s growth and financial goals; cultivate a strong partnership with Merchandising, Marketing, Planning, Stores, and all other stakeholders, to ensure cross-functional alignment needed for success


• Annually develop and gain approval of International aerie strategies, and prioritize initiatives, in support of overall aerie brand strategies.Engage and provide assurance across the entire business, to ensure all commercial and product strategies are well-aligned to deliver best customer-first experience for both store and online channels


• Constantly interface between the International Division and aerie brand to ensure complete, two-way communication and direction for all aspects of the business such that all stakeholders are aligned towards a shared vision and common goals


• Drive for business results in collaboration with functional partners, behaving as a role model for partnerships and generating solutions


• Build strong working relationships with the heads of each functional area, within the International Division and the broader organization; constantly scans and assesses the organization for talent to source resource needs of the International Division


QUALIFICATIONS:


• Bachelor’s Degree required 


• 10 years of related experience, in multi-store/specialty retail brands; international product/brand experience is required, with working outside of the United States a strong plus


• 4+ years of management experience


• Extremely strong verbal/written communication and persuasion skills; ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment


• Extremely strong business acumen; demonstrated ability to immediately identify areas of the business that need attention


• Strong instincts and passion for customer and brand experience; innovative and willing to take calculated risks


• Experience working in matrixed organizational structures is a plus


• Ability to travel internationally, frequently and often with short notice
