NYULMC is expanding its Clinical Integrated Network (NYUPN CIN). The goal is to provide patient-centered high quality care that is coordinated and efficient. The focus will be related growth of our network, clinical performance, productivity, space management, patient satisfaction, and managing transitions of care.

MCIT provides technology infrastructure, data governance, and technical support for members of the NYUPN CIN. In particular, it supports the secure transfer of health information or health information exchange (HIE) – among NYULMC affiliated physicians, NYULMC faculty practice physicians and NYULMC hospitals. Our mission is to improve healthcare delivery and quality by bringing critical information to care providers at the point of care.

The Sr Integration Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for managing various health IT and HIE projects; as well as implementing, enhancing and supporting various health IT and HIE services and products important to the NYUPN CIN. This person will work closely with NYU MCIT staff, NYUPN practices, EMR and HIE vendors, staff and consultants.

Job Responsibilities:

Experience/expertise providing technical project management / coordination for complex, multi-faceted health IT and/or HIE projects

Experience/expertise working with clinical health IT systems (e.g. EMR products) and/or HIE systems and other interfaces supporting data exchange within and across organizations

Experience/expertise in health IT and HIE formats and protocols including HL7 version 2.x & 3.0; and experience/expertise with clinical data types and terminologies

Able to identify issues and opportunities that need to be addressed in the long and short term; allocates resources appropriately to identify and resolve key issues, problems, and challenges.

Strong interpersonal skills and customer service ethic – to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in managing projects as well as troubleshooting when technical issues arise

Collaborates directly with our RHIO (Healthix) to deliver information needed that is available externally from NYULMC.

Oversee all aspects of execution, including identifying and solving problems that would otherwise delay the provision of new HIE services. Maintain all of the Daily operational tasks along with the HIE staff to maintain a functional exchange as well as managing the Vendor for the same daily operations aspects.

Manage the HIE planning and implementation projects. Maintain all appropriate project deliverables and responsibilities; for example, project scheduling, risk management, change management, issue management and status reporting.

Manage results/orders interface technology serving our network of physicians

Team-Oriented as the team consists of 5 individuals and training and collaboration is a must.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Typically requires 5 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent
