Senior Manager, Central Pharmacy Technology Installation Support

Omnicell has a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Manager, Central Pharmacy Technical Installation Support.You  will partner closely with Engineering, Professional Services and Finance functions. Our  Senior Manager, Central Pharmacy Technical Installation Support is responsible for robotics and automation project delivery. You will also work directly with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovation strategies that drive quality outcomes.


• Provide strong technical and operational leadership for staff of 50+

• Build, retain and manage an A-team and provide training and mentorship

• Manage performance and talent development with clear career growth plans

• Track cost and profitability across projects and seek ways to maximize profitability

• Develop process and documentation best practices and standards to improve automation and robotics installation outcomes

• Manage resource utilization and optimization

• Serve as internal and external point of escalation for issue resolution

• Partner with cross functional finance and operations teams to develop business case and ROI models

• Continually assess and identify the technical / training needs for the team.

• Creates and maintains strong relationships with counterparts in Sales, Service and Professional Services

• Maintains 3rd party relationships as determined by business needs

• Collaborates with product development and engineering teams to design for more efficient product assembly

• Participates in developing strategic plans for future product growth

• Works with Central Pharmacy leadership team to build forward-looking strategies to support new products and technology

• Drives organizational change

• Participant in, or lead, company strategic initiatives

• Track the relevant technology frontiers in academia and industry, and directly contribute to the strategic plan, goal setting for both mid- and long-term research and development

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of industry standard technology

• Ability to communicate, articulately and persuasively to key personnel internally and externally

• Strong planning, organizational and presentation skills

• Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience

• In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.

• Advanced troubleshooting & problem-solving skills, from business to higher level technical matters

• Demonstrated skills in leading cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical/Robotics/Electrical Engineering

• 8 years experience in robotics, troubleshooting quality control and quality improvement

• 2 years experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership

• 10 years direct people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in Mechanical/Robotics/Electrical Engineering equivalent

• 5 years CAD and 3D modeling software experience

• 5 years experience of computer vision technologies

Work Conditions:

• Home office/field based

• Approximately 30 to 50% travel required

• Working across mulitple time zones
