What You’ll Do:


Ensure that Healthline Media’s content is up-to-date and accurate by monitoringkey changes in the healthcare ecosystem, including clinical guidelines, federal screening recommendations, FDA drug changes/approvals

Develop the strategy to scale monitoring and surveillance efforts to ensure that Healthline Media sets the standard for medical integrity for health information sites. This includes identifying resources, managing user feedback, and defining the process to identify and communicate changes in guidelines, standard of care and drug information. 

Develop a system and process to ensure internal Healthline stakeholders are aware of changes in guidelines

Oversee the production and maintenance of Condition Sheets, high-level condition-specific summaries used by internal Healthline teams

Oversee updates to condition-specific language and tone guides

Determine KPIs for all Medical Integrity and surveillance work, reader feedback, and Condition Sheets

Manage a team of internal domain experts for drugs, nutrition, and conscious language initiatives and content development

Recruit and manage a network of freelancers tasked with supporting surveillance work; responsibilities include budgets and oversight of contractor performance


What We’re Looking For:


A degree in a health-related field and/or journalism and have worked in the healthcare space; RN, MS, MA, PA, PhD, other medical-related degree, or medical/scientific research is a bonus but not a must-have

Familiarity with sources of evidence-based medical information, key medical conferences, and medical news sources 

Ability to understand clinical developments in medicine and their practical implications 

5+ years of managerial experience, working with direct reports who are geographically distributed

Excellent communicator - able to distill complicated healthcare information in a concise, informative way to a vast audience of individuals with varying degrees of medical expertise 

Passion for improving healthcare 

Empathy to the health and wellness challenges that consumers and healthcare professionals face 

Data mindset that embraces evidence-based medicine 

Creative thinker, even in areas that are not already well-defined or predictable, and ability to problem solve complex issues

Self-motivated self-starter who plays well with others 

An outgoing, tenacious, and driven teammate who cares deeply about driving impact and enjoys collaborating with others
