Summary:

Gartner is searching for a Sr Manager, UI Design to lead the creative design team and processes for all applications associated with Research & Advisory and Consulting business units. 

Must Haves:                

  • 8 - 10 years of experience in interactive web design & user experience

  • Experience working with cross functional design, technology, and business unit leads

  • Excellent communication and verbal presentation skills to executive-level audience

  • Experience in designing unified large scale product designs

  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of W3C Standards based design

  • Knowledge and ability to create live mockups by leveraging various tools

  • HTML & JavaScript knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to multi-task and context switch across different business areas

  • Strong understanding of business processes with ability to translate into intuitive and response UI design solutions

  • Experience with mobile UI designs

  • Strong people management skills

  • Ability to train and mentor a team of UI Designers

Day to Day:

  • Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization

  • Responsible for ensuring consistent presentation of web initiatives across Research & Consulting applications

  • Lead and drive creative sessions for projects

  • Provide quality control and oversight to ensure the integrity of visual designs are executed through the web development process

  • Deliver high quality interaction designs

  • Promote a user experiences that aligns to Gartner's corporate strategy.

  • Drive consistent end-user experience across all applications

  • Improve compliance with W3C design standards
