The Analytics team partners with Product, Design, Marketing, Finance and Engineering to produce world-class analysis and provide recommendations that improve our products and increase customer engagement.
BOLD is looking for a SENIOR MANAGER/DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT ANALYTICS to join our team. You will manage and develop a team of analysts to provide critical insights to the business and strategic support to our executive team. You will help set the long-term direction for Analytics at BOLD, but will also roll up your sleeves and be hands-on when needed. The ideal candidate sets ambitious goals for both themselves and their team, and has the passion and people skills to keep team members engaged and loving what they do.
Set ambitious objectives that take BOLD’s analytics capabilities to the next level. Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve those objectives and proactively address potential hurdles.
Lead a team of analysts to extract meaningful insights using a variety of data sources and techniques.
Present recommendations to executive leadership in a compelling manner with a strong command of the underlying data and methodologies.
Mentor and develop analysts with regular 1-1 discussions. Identify the right training opportunities to evolve your team’s skill set.
Build trusted partnerships across departments. Ensure your team is working in an efficient, scalable fashion and leveraging the entire organization to the fullest extent possible.
Jump in and be hands-on when needed, such as performing an analysis or writing a complex query.
Degree in Math, Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative field.
7+ years conducting analytics for consumer products at an internet or technology company.
2+ years leading analytics teams with a mix of managerial and individual contributor work.
Recent experience doing hands-on analysis.
Extensive hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
Robust understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
Advanced knowledge of SQL as well as data warehousing systems such as Redshift.
Knowledge of scripting languages and statistical packages such as Python and R.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc.
Experience with Google Analytics, MixPanel or other front-end analytics platforms.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong track record of turning insights into actionable recommendations.
Eagerness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
Experience developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
