At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high impact and visible team that works closely with product & business leaders across the company. Using your business insight, analytical skills and creativity, you will partner directly with the Product Head of our Platform & Enterprise Cloud team, and take a leading role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the solutions you develop are creative and offer high-quality and actionable recommendations to business partners. You'll also quarterback aspects of the month-to-month business operations, increasing visibility and accountability around business metrics that drive growth.


In this role, you'll get to:


Partner directly with the Head of Product of our Platform team, with a focus on driving initiatives to support revenue growth for the business, including the design of a net new offering

Build high level models (including revenue and cost models) to identify actionable insights, exercise sound business discernment, and develop recommendations to influence and drive consensus across functional leaders'

Drive large scale customer research to help inform product roadmap decisions

Drive the revenue and monetization strategy and identify packaging and pricing models to better align with customer needs, value and willingness-to-pay

Work with a cross-functional team to develop recommendations that grow the business; this will include initiating and executing on projects that result in meaningful enhancements to either our products, or our company strategy & operations

Own the monthly process to monitor the product's growth performance, including driving the product metrics review cadence and "quarterbacking" a cross-functional team to diagnose problems when they occur

Partner across Atlassian’s product, go-to-market and finance teams to help prioritize product roadmaps, deliver strategic recommendations and analysis, and develop go-to-market monetization strategy for new offerings

Transform findings into actionable recommendations, and work closely with cross functional teams to execute on the recommendations.


On your first day, we'll expect you to have:


6+ years’ experience with experience in business operations, consulting, strategic finance, product management, growth or investment banking

Ability to articulately present and debate recommendations at the executive level

An understanding of SaaS/subscription and software licensing modelsStrong communication and influencing skills

Experience at an Enterprise Software company, with an understanding of SaaS/subscription and software licensing models

Demonstrated experience in delivering key growth initiatives, including conception, research, and business modeling in order to drive consensus and successful outcomes

Experience using SQL

BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Math, Engineering or a related analytical field

Strong proficiency with Excel



It's great, but not required if you have:


An MBA

Software / SaaS industry experience

Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)

Experience in crafting and executing marketing and customer research via interviews, quantitative methods and experiments
