Candidates will have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, leadership experience in a pediatric surgical environment, strong clinical and research skills in pediatric surgery or subspecialty surgery, a strong academic record and a broad understanding of all surgical disciplines. The selected candidate will be skilled in supervising, evaluating and guiding other care providers and multi-disciplinary treatment teams, and will possess the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, providers and staff to plan for and develop a broad spectrum of clinical services. Familiarity with continuous performance improvement systems is necessary, along with excellent customer service skills, financial and business acumen. Candidates must have a strong and successful record of accomplishment in all aspects of academic surgical operations, including clinical and research program development, staffing, resource allocation, electronic health records, etc., as well as significant academic accomplishments marked by a profound dedication to the education of surgical residents and fellows.We seek individuals with strong emotional and social intelligence, and a demonstrated ability to connect with others in a meaningful way, at all levels of an organization.
