Farm Credit Midsouth is an agricultural financial institution headquartered in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with (7) offices in Arkansas.Today, Farm Credit Midsouth serves over 2,000 farmer members/business operations with loans totaling over $990 million in ten Eastern Arkansas Counties and three Missouri Counties.The Association is a decentralized lender, placing authority at the loan officers’ level, the point closest to the member.Branch offices are maintained in 7 of the 13 counties for the convenience of the membership and are staffed with an experienced lending staff.
Management and Leadership:The Marketing Officer will select, develop, motivate and empower designated branch management teams to build strong customer relationships and grow the business in their designated territory. They will establish performance standards and measure performance against standards. They will monitor goals and objectives within budgeted guidelines and communicate business expectations and goals to teams while being responsible for the teams’ results.
Strategic Leadership, Risk Identification and Management:The of Branch Operations, Marketing Officer will work closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams as well as the Board of Directors in developing, executing and communicating strategic plans. They will provide leadership and training to the Branch Managers in identifying and working with customers that have sub-standard loans to minimize Association risk and losses. This positionwill appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data.
Association Loan Committee:The of Branch Operations, Marketing Officer will serve on the Association loan committee.They will approve, counter offer or deny large multi-million dollar loan relationships. This role will also identify communication needs to support large loan relationships.
Market Plan and Advertising:Develop and recommend long-term marketing strategies. Develop and organize outreach/relationship programs. Provide leadership to market loans and leases. Establish new market relationships that contribute toward the attainment of FCM goals and business objectives. Develop and implement media plans to include; develop an annual advertising department budget, developing and placing ads in designated media, and coordinating outside advertising resources. The Marketing Officer will also coordinate marketing initiatives with other Farm Credit Associations when appropriate especially at a State level.
Loan and Lease Product Development and Implementation:Develop and recommend long-term loan and lease strategies. Develop and communicate policies and procedures.Audit and review procedures against insurance policies.
Young, Beginning, and Small Farmer Coordinator:As an agricultural business resource, the Marketing Officer will need to develop and recommend a successful YBS program, market the program, coordinate activities with the Board, other Associations, and the branches.This position will also coordinate with the Board YBS Committee.
Business Plan Development:The of Branch Operation,Marketing Officer will lead the development of the Association’s business plan by researching critical information, identifying and recommending core strategies to support the Association’s mission, recommending key business goals and defining levels of success, developing strategies for ongoing market intelligence efforts, and lastly, recommending investments in resources.
