The Shared Services Director of Communications and Engagement at Central Vermont Medical Center is a seasoned communications strategist and agile generalist who brings deep experience and a broad range of skills to the role. This individual is a working leader responsible for a collaborative, proactive and responsive local function that serves CVMC in alignment with strategic priorities and advancing Shared Services goals.
Working in partnership, this individual works to effectively integrate day-to-day operations with strategic planning and nimble prioritization to maximize impact and builds essential relationships both internally within CVMC, externally with government, community and business leaders, and works in partnership with Government and Community Relations and Shared Services leadership.
The Shared Services Director of Communications and Engagement is responsible for local strategy executions and leads department services to support a range of communication needs including executive, organizational and external communication, public and media relations, engagement, creative content generation, collateral development, local brand marketing and engagement events, social media, crisis communication, issues management, and works directly with Shared Services functional leaders for centralized expertise and service support.
BA in journalism, public relations, communications, integrated communications and marketing, public/government relations or a related field.
• Eight to 10 years of progressive experience and proven leadership of internal and external communication and engagement strategies in a high volume environment. Journalism, public relations, agency, or external relations experience a plus.
• Proven track record of collaborative leadership, consultative partnership and relationship building.
• Direct supervision of teams of at least three people across creative professional disciplines.
• Expertise with omnichannel strategy and execution.
