Reporting to the Senior Manager of Foreign Trade Policy, facilitate trade while ensuring compliance with global Trade regulations.    

Responsible for assisting with worldwide oversight of Trade areas: 

Compliance with US and international regulations 

Customs entry compliance

Corporate-wide direction for Trade compliance matters  

Primary Responsibilities: 

Responsible for working with Customs and Brokers on all routine PEA’s, PSC’s, protests, etc.

Responsible for weekly review of FTZ import entries regarding tariff classification and valuation

Work closely with regional spares group on import related issues

Continuous improvement of a global import compliance program

Maintain/update Import compliance policies for the company while seeking cross-functional alignment

Compliance oversight of internal programs (Drawback, FTZ Operations, Use of Free Trade Agreements)

Advocacy for internal cross-functional Trade compliance assessment programs

Drive and help enhance the company’s Customs and Trade valuation program

Represent Lam with US Government (Customs, FTZ Board, Census)

Cross-functional alignment on resource support of projects involving both export and import activities

Promote policy and procedural cross-functional alignment

Broker and carrier Standard Operating Procedures

Facilitate assessment of benefits for Trade Partnership Programs

Experience / Education / Business / Technical Knowledge Required


5+ years of relevant senior-level global trade compliance experience


Minimum BA/BS- Trade related advanced degree preferred

Business / Technical Knowledge

US Customs regulations

Experience with international Customs regulations in APAC and EU jurisdictions

Strong experience with Foreign Trade Zones and Free Trade Agreements

Ability to communicate effectively- written and verbal

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member and interact / collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization

Project management, planning and organizational skills

Experience delivering training to all levels of the organization preferred (US and international)

Experience interacting, verbal and written, with US government agencies and Trade organizations

Logistics experience preferred
