Job Purpose

In this position, the Sr. Director, Global Accounts manages the activities of the sales account management team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff.Establishes the sales strategy for the team. Responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with existing accounts or groups of accounts. Directs account teams to optimize the relationship focusing on sales strategy, sales support, customer service, technology development, and on-going technical and post-sales support. Enforces all aspects of the contract, ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions and identifies if changes are needed.

The Sr. Director, Global Accounts manages customer relationships responsible for customer health, growth, and on-going customer care. Establishes growth strategies for this global customer while focusing on meeting contractual obligations, tactical execution of customer needs and resolution of escalations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for relationships and will act as the liaison between customer and company sites, coordinating effective communication governance and proactively addressing customer needs. 

Nature Of Duties / Responsibilities



  • Top priority will be to grow business (top line and bottom line) while improving customer service

  • Providing weekly/monthly status update reports to Management; weekly forecast updates into IT system and CRM tools

  • Maintain wide scale customer contact list and account plans in system and schedule senior level meetings as required for Management involvement

  • Meet and exceed target quotas set for entire account business with break-out per commodity/BU and fully cooperate and collaborate with GPM, company site and customer teams as necessary to ensure smooth account operation at all levels

  • Utilize regular customer contacts as a source of useful market and competitive intelligence, reporting this back into company to assist with business planning and strategic direction

  • Maintain, protect, develop and grow existing business and relationships in-line with Management strategy and develop and present compelling sales presentations to gain mind-share and ensure optimal strategic positioning

  • Responsible for the overall health and guidance of the customer in ALL locations globally, while utilizing Sanmina resources worldwide


Education And Experience



  • Due to our U.S. Government contracts, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen

  • Ability to Apply and Receive a Security Clearance

  • BA or BS in related field qualified, MBA preferred

  • 12+ years in account management experience required; proven track-record of over-achieving quotas while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction; revenue responsibilities to $100M+

  • Experience in high-tech, high-end computing, networking, communications, defense and aerospace industry

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • Superior communication (verbal & written), presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations

  • Strong project manager with excellent ability to prioritize, multitask and organize
