The Marketing Senior Director will be the segment lead for our Corporate Issuer solutions focused on corporations, non-listed issuers, law firms and related secondary buyers as well as relevant trade associations and industry influencers. This role is an important strategic partner to the Issuer segment and contributes to the growth and success of the company's largest business unit, Investor Communication Services (ICS).
The successful candidate will be marketing the Corporate Issuer business during a time of growth and product innovation which includes the improvement of Broadridge’s market-leading virtual shareholder meeting platform and launch of our ESG Advisory and SEC Disclosure solutions. This presents an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the marketing of a wide range of corporate governance solutions, lead partnership marketing programs and drive growth in an expanding range of buyers.
The individual will work with partners in sales, product development and clients to develop and execute develop strong, results- and content-driven marketing and sales enablement strategies that deliver profitable business growth and support our leadership position as we evolve. To achieve this the Senior Director will work across shared Marketing functions, including Brand, Digital, Marketing Communications and Corporate Communications.
The individual will report to the VP of Marketing for the Governance and Communications businesses with whom they will partner on key marketing initiatives and work independently to lead segment initiatives. S/he will work closely with the ICS marketing team to understand segment opportunities and challenges.
The Senior Director of Marketing will have extensive B-to-B product marketing experience, preferably in the financial services and/or technology industry. The Senior Director will have experience in developing marketing strategies and experience building marketing programs and sales tools that deliver measurable results. S/he needs to be able to thrive in a changing environment.
The Senior Director will work with the VP Governance & Communications Marketing to develop, deliver, track, and refine content, including but not limited to:
Translation of strategic business requirements into meaningful go-to-market (GTM) marketing plan for the segment aligned with business and sales objectives.
Accountable for developing and executing the segment marketing plan to drive revenue, reputation and relationships.
With a metrics-driven mindset, demonstrate quantifiable Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) results and impact from strategic marketing campaigns.
Deliver segment marketing plan and campaigns that effectively deliver on the business and sales imperatives - working with product marketing, digital marketing and other marketing centers of excellence to execute GTM plans.
Develop and direct integrated customer retention strategies to build advocacy and maintain 100% client retention to increase wallet share.
Articulate clearly our value proposition and capabilities through a combination of deep industry knowledge and understanding of Broadridge’s capabilities within the segment.
Work side by side with the segment sales leader to ensure that the sales teams understand our segment value proposition and can clearly articulate our story in a compelling way through effective sales enablement strategy and tools.
Incorporate acquisitions and partnerships into coordinated segment and go-to-market plans as appropriate.
Represent Marketing at key business, product, sales leadership meetings and report progress.
Inform voice of customer research and market intelligence.
Develop an Industry association and influencer strategy and provide messaging and content support for industry events.
Develop and execute content marketing strategy including topic conceptualization, development and distribution strategy.
Marketing professional with 15+ years of demonstrated ability, preferably in financial services, technology or B2B, with an emphasis in digital marketing, SEM, product marketing and content marketing. Strong understanding of the corporate issuer and broker dealer markets is a plus.
Demonstrated experience developing marketing strategies, programs and sales tools that deliver strong business results.
Critical thinking/analysis skills; ability to evaluate business challenges and develop solutions to deliver profitable business growth – with an equal enjoyment of being strategic as well as the accomplishment from “rolling up your sleeves” to deliver.
Strong interpersonal and partnership skills to influence key partners and build support across the organization.
Adaptable and able to work in a changing environment, with the ability to organize, prioritize and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Consistent record to communicate effectively with executives and a variety of audiences. Experience writing, editing and provide editorial direction to agencies.
Experience in campaign management, including idea generation, execution, tracking, measurement, and refinement.
Ability to handle a diverse workload with strong project management skills to meet tight deadlines.
Integrating acquisitions and managing partnerships.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel; experience with Salesforce, Percolate, Eloqua, EveryoneSocial and On24 – or similar software platform – is a plus
