Job Purpose:

The South East Sales Director will be responsible for managing the South East Region sales team for integrated manufacturing services (IMS) manufacturing services along with Sanmina components and services (end to end solutions). The person in this role will be responsible for managing a geographically diverse sales team for the multi state region, coordinating team initiatives and strategies to meet and exceed annual goals and sales budgets as set forth by senior management.

The Sanmina is a full-service company that delivers end to end solutions, supporting low, med or high volume programs from design concept, through new product introduction (NPI), into full production and logistics services.

Nature Of Duties:



  • This position includes management of existing business to be maintained and grown, with continuous focus as well on developing new accounts in all industry sectors

  •  Responsible for driving sales team to meeting established corporate goals

  • Management role will be responsible for achieving objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, coordinating, coaching, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions

  • Planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures, training and development

  • Responsibilities include regional sales revenue and operational objectives by contributing regional sales intelligence and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

  • Preparing and completing action plans; implementing strategies as agreed, resolving problems, implementing change within sales organization as required to achieve goals

  • Ensures compliance with all business initiatives

  • Review and measure individuals to meeting sales budgets or MBO’s

  • This position will require road and flight travel as necessary


Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree is required, MBA is a plus 

  • 15+ years experience Sales Management experience in a direct Customer sales and sales management role, supporting large OEM's in technology industries in multi state geographies

  • Highly motivated with entrepreneurial attitude and outlook, strong work ethics with high level of integrity

  • Adept at outlining strategic plans for target account identification, strategic planning and execution to plan to achieve desired results

  • Highly networked in the South East region with OEMs in technologyspace and electronic component manufacturers

  • Well rounded experience in high tech applications, communications, industrial, medical, military, alternate energy market segments

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, strategic planning, interpersonal and closing skills/abilities

  • Demonstrable success in developing and winning new accounts

  • Ability to build and leverage client relationships to attain market advantage 

  • Meeting and exceeding annual budget requirements with P&L responsibility and proven track record

  • Team player with an ability to work with multiple inter-company departments and organizations

  • Capable of balancing short and long term plans objectives and executing effective action plans

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must
