Sr. Thought Leadership Director
Leads efforts to develop and implement thought leadership content and strategy used globally in order to support the corporate positioning of IQVIA, reflect our breadth of capabilities, and enable client-facing colleagues to engage with client executives on matters of importance based on insight and perspective.
Job Family Description:
Creates executive engagement platforms to elevate the positioning of the organization with our customers and the broader industry.
Supports business growth by disseminating information that positions IQVIA at the forefront of critical business issues most relevant to client leadership teams.
Works closely with Marketing and go-to-market teams to create awareness of platforms.Identifies and predicts current and future industry trends.
Develops and implements thought leadership content and strategy used globally to support the corporate positioning of the organization to reflect its breadth of capabilities and enable other client-facing colleagues to engage with executives on matters of importance based on insight and perspective.
Researches and publishes white papers and thought pieces; speaks at client events and forums to positively represent the organization; develops and maintains relationships with industry stakeholders, and conducts strategic research and investigations pertaining to major industry or market developments.
Identifies gaps in existing thought leadership content where distinctive perspectives can be developed in support of corporate positioning and stakeholder engagement
Develops analytic frameworks and concepts for rigorous and consistent sets of analysis that can be leveraged for multiple purposes
Anticipates and responds to ad hoc requests for information from clients, business management and executive management
Works closely with IQVIA Institute, global thought leadership and center of excellence colleagues on platform development, dissemination and alignment of messaging
Works under tight deadline pressure when reviewing material to be presented and ensuring quality and consistency of content
Proactively engages with country general managers of key markets, executive management, business line and consulting leaders on current topics related to medicine use and spending and identify capabilities and offerings to showcase in thought leadership content
Presents insights and perspectives on behalf of IQVIA to client executive management, diverse external audiences and with media
Maintains relationships with executives at customers, understands client centric critical issues and works with cross-functionally to build engagement materials
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required or other Advanced Degree in Medicine or sciences
Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience.
Additional Work Experience:
Fifteen years of pharmaceutical industry experience and/or with IQVIA Systems
Applies extensive business and industry expertise and provides organizational thought leadership.
Requires exceptional business knowledge to drive results for the organization.
Skills and Abilities:
Thorough understanding of the IQVIA offerings in the customer environment strongly preferred.
Has broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and core offerings.
Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
Strong problem solving, analytical, project management and planning skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.
Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.
Has strong client relationship and influencing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
