Responsible for providing advanced strategic client connected HR support to the Senior and Medicare business unit. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Understands client needs from HR at a strategic level, ensuring those needs are properly integrated into HR work plans and priorities across the HR team. Influences and shapes business decisions while applying expertise about the business and broad knowledge of HR. Partners with business leadership in succession planning, leadership development/deployment and larger scale transformations in talent, both short term and long term. Coaches and counsels business unit leadership on how to achieve business results through effective people strategies. Uses metrics and data to support recommendations. Advises clients on organizational and team effectiveness. Partners with compensation to develop pay leveling strategies that create competitiveness, internal equity and career mobility. Ensures enterprise plans requiring client coordination are well implemented (salary planning, stock award allocation, performance management) and achieve maximum value. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requires BA/BS in related field; 9 years human resources experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MA/MS/MBA preferred. HR related designation preferred.

The Staff VP Human Resources for Healthcare Management is responsible for strategic planning and partnering with key Healthcare Management stakeholders to manage all streams of HR activities in order to create a world-class enterprise HR experience and function.

Responsible for HR human capital strategy that will drive the business to meet its goals within Anthem’s Clinical, Network and Cost of Care Delivery teams. Provides support to our Chief Clinical Officer and SVP, Network and Cost of Care Delivery Transformation, with overall responsibility for the people aspects of these two teams.The role partners with HR stakeholders to create tailored talent strategies that enable success and drive results. 

The ideal candidate will leverage resources and partnerships, internally and externally, to spearhead Anthem’s Clinical Solutions Business Division efforts to address the needs of Anthem’s clinical population and providing direction for high quality of care and continued business growth. The Staff VP HR Clinical Solutions role is responsible for leading, developing and overseeing the implementation of policy and regional strategies as well as programs and outreach strategies in Anthem communities.

Understands business partner needs and translates those needs into a clear people talent strategy to drive business results.

Work closely with the business to evaluate and develop end to end human capital strategies and ensure proper integration and alignment to HR strategic goals.

Influences and shapes business decisions while applying expertise about the business and broad knowledge of HR.

Partner with business leadership in succession planning, leadership development/deployment and larger scale transformations in talent, both short term and medium term.

Advises clients on organizational and team effectiveness.

Provide insightful data to guide decision making and offer proactive solutions, solving problems and getting to the root cause and resolve issues.

Consult with leadership to create comprehensive people plans to influence lasting and sustainable efficiencies.

Provide decision support for business unit leaders and senior management teams operational and business goals.

Provide visible sponsorship and guidance for major change initiatives.

Hire, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires BA/BS in related field; 9 years human resources experience; HMO/healthcare field experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

MA/MS/MBA preferred. HR related designation preferred.

Proven success as a people leader, collaborating with other executives and leaders.Display personal agility to work across a wide array of businesses and stakeholders to develop the credibility to achieve results.

Demonstrated analytical skills, sense of curiosity, and effective problem solving.

Ability to work through ambiguity, putting structure and “glide path” to broad enterprise initiatives
