The Strategic Marketing Leader, HBT APAC is responsible for leading, managing and directing strategic marketing activities, developing and maintaining strategic plans to grow the existing and new business and also make sure the alignment with regional & global strategy. He/she will work closely with APAC sub-regions businesses & functional teams to drive breakthrough initiatives. This growth strategy will be developed through expert use of Voice of the Customer discussions to discern target customer segments, economics, competitive dynamics, development of offerings for each target segment, and development of all go to market approaches including channel, positioning, pricing and promotion.
The Strategic Marketing Leader, HBT APAC reports to the VP & CCO, HBT APAC, and matrix to VP, Strategic Marketing, Global HBT.
APAC STRAP - Lead the strategic marketing team to develop and operationalize effective strategy to drive strong growth. Responsible to develop distinctive strategic solution to problems and drive implementation. Work closely with executive leadership team in strategic planning process, design and deliver strategic marketing initiatives, and develop alliance and partnership in APAC marketing. Promote strong market influence strategy and insightful investment decisions for organic growth.Operationalize the STRAP with business teams.
Break Through Initiative – Manage and implement key BTIs in each sub-region with the local business team using global tools and methodology.Develop effective MOS and provide guidance on offering portfolio, Go-To-Market model, Pricing, Branding, competitive analysis, segmentation and sales/channel build-up.
Adjacencies Expansion – Continue to look for adjacency markets or applications to expand SAM
E2R – Support the E2R initiative in Strategic Marketing capacity.Work closely with global Strategy, Offering Management and destination country/region Marketing team to ensure a successful implementation of E2R initiative to double or triple the internal revenue to the destination countries.
Market Research - Lead team to design and execute in-depth market research studies; drive effective market analysis to identify business opportunities. Promote organization-wide innovation and cooperation in the new products and services development. Capable to quickly response to market change by innovating profitable business models and leading change.
Education / Qualifications
Bachelor or above degree in Engineering, Marketing or related, MBA preferred
10+ years of experience in marketing, ideally a proven track record of marketing leadership role in different marketing functions, industry domains & business models;
Rich marketing experience within related industries, solid technical background required. Strategic marketing experience.
Strong business acumen and ability to effectively capture the changing marketing trend. Leadership and functional ability to define and implement growth strategies and translate into practical actions and metric driven operating systems.
Strong financial acumen with relevant experience interacting with and assessing complex business models, diverse data sources and P&L key metrics
Proven ability to develop, communicate and influence within complex and matrixed organizations; proactive communicator and team builder approach
Strong team player and builder, able to work and travel in global collaborating environment with intensive challenges.
Proven project management skills, effective self-starter and ensure delivery
Excellent verbal, written & graphical communications skills; proficient in developing effective action orientated plans
