The Strategic Sourcing Manager position will be responsible for further developing and leading the North America sourcing program on this Fortune 500 account. This position requires the ability to develop and implement new and innovative sourcing strategies.
*This position can be virtual in Chicago, Detroit or a relevant Midwest location with the expectation there could be in person office visits.
Leading the annual sourcing planning process, driving results through program implementation and monitoring results.
Key communication liaison with Account team with 1 direct report.
Responsible for communication, coordination and implementation of local and regional sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations to suppliers and operations team.
Own, manage and execute all stages of RFP activities including supplier identification, RFP development, stakeholder communications, project management, analysis, recommendation and implementation support.
Responsible for data integrity of contract database - oversee maintenance and enhancement of central contract database.
Establish relationship with client Legal and Risk Management to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standard or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved by client’s legal/risk management.
Administer and maintain contract files to ensure compliance with JLL Sourcing requirements, administration of supplier files, certificates of insurance, amendments, letters and other contractual documents.
Establish work priorities for self and direct reports , assign deliverables and resolve issues with Operations and Project teams, temporary help and/or project-specific dedicated personnel to assure client satisfaction, customer satisfaction
Develop, implement and maintain a supplier diversity program in accordance with client and company requirements. Mentor/educate suppliers through meetings.
Conduct local and regional Preferred Supplier performance review meetings, when requested, and manage supplier scorecards, contract compliance and service obligations.
Support e-procurement initiatives.
Prepare budget information for all fixed regional and national contracts.
Work in cooperation with Finance and the field to ensure that financial transactions are processed in an orderly and timely fashion-goal to ensure invoice amounts are correct and paid on time.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or other applicable degree
Minimum 5+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience
Experience in Facility, Material Handling Equipment Maintenance service categories, preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in Manufacturing preferred but not required.
Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications - Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Motivated to grow and perform in a high performance organization
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict timelines.
Excellent Inter-personal and communication skills
Experience developing and negotiating contracts with suppliers
