This position will be a member of the Corporate Strategy organization within Honeywell’s Safety and Productivity Solutions division. This group is instrumental in building a powerful growth culture focusing on SPS’ customers, markets and technologies to develop new strategiesto drive both revenue and margin opportunities for the business. He/ She will work closely with senior leadership across business units and functions within SPS (both in the region and globally) to develop a framework for driving growth initiatives, including assessing SPS's current portfolio for expansion into new markets and new product offerings, and developing organic and inorganic growth strategies. He/she will have unparalleled exposure to senior leadership for this level, and complete view of the entire SPS portfolio.
The specific responsibilities include:
Shape and drive key strategic initiatives that are central to the growth and profitability of the business.
Providing cross-business line and cross-divisional leadership in the areas of strategy formulation, country analysis, industry/market analysis, competitor benchmarking.
Assess the dynamic, rapidly evolving landscape of our businesses using both a macro and micro lens in terms of market, customers, competitors, technology, and geography.
Analyze strategic options, including developing the business case, influencing key stakeholders, and driving execution and change management.
Identify, prioritize, and implement key strategic projects to further accelerate organic and inorganic growth and fill gaps in our portfolio. Evaluate key levers such as R&D, M&A, partnerships, and venture investments.
Explore new business opportunities and new product / services offerings through new platforms and innovative business models.
Drive Voice of the Customer activities to both validate market understanding and mine unmet customer needs for new product, service, and solution development to drive growth
Drive the 3-5 year strategic planning process in collaboration with the SPS CEO, Business Unit Presidents, and providing strategic insight, analytical rigor and financial assessments of BU-led growth initiatives.
Experience and Qualities:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of working experience with a leading strategy consulting firm or within a corporate strategy function with a multinational firm, with overall responsibility for running assignments and providing leadership within the organization.
Industry experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, warehouse automation, robotics, and other related sectors is strongly preferred, as is a substantial quantitative and/or engineering background. Experience working on global assignments is also an important qualification.
An ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and define business questions and issues, and to develop strategic/analytical frameworks to conduct analysis. He/she will have experience developing and designing implementation plans to drive execution.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, assertive, energetic, and possess engaging executive presence and strong communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills, to gain credibility with team members and senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing
MBA from top-tier business school
10+ years of post-university work experience, including a combination of strategy/management consulting experience at a top-tier firm, plus at least 3-5 years of “hands-on” operational experience at a global MNC in the industrial and/or high-tech sectors
Strong team building and problem-solving skills
Significant experience managing multiple, complex projects and ability to adjust or course correct with changing priorities
Effective and efficient diagnosis of complex situations or challenging problems
Ability to forge solid relationships and manage across a broad and geographically dispersed business
