The Supply Chain Materials Manager (SCMM) is the key interface between Supply Chain all other Cross-functional organizations required to execute a Development Program. Leads the implementation of short and long-term supply chain strategies that facilitate program execution and support schedule and cost initiatives. Drives resolution to capacity issues, production location decisions as well as material planning and delivery challenges in support of business growth. Facilitates cross functional business execution to ensure supply plan aligns with demand plan. Leads and acts as focal point for all supply chain activities. Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Optimizes the interface between supply chain management and manufacturing systems. Active participant in the planning and preparation of material requirements planning to ensure a controlled flow of materials that meets program requirements. Identifies delivery risks and facilitates risk management and mitigation by working with the commodity team, OPM, master scheduler, engineering and the factory management teams. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes team responsibilities to accomplish objectives. Trains and mentor other supply chain team members. Drives continuous improvement philosophy and approach to problem solving and process improvement.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

A successful SCMM must have a deep understanding of the procurement and planning processes and be proficient at resolving process failures in order to ensure program success. The SCMM must possess excellent leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization. Effective problem solving skills and a working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles are also required.

Preferred Skills and Education

Higher level education completed or in process.

APICS or ISM certified

Ability to implement Lean & Six Sigma process improvements

Willingness and desire for continuous improvement, showing initiative by undertaking self-development activities, seeking increased responsibilities, and taking advantage of learning opportunities

Well versed with Oracle ERP system

Root Cause/Corrective Action Skills

Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in two or more of the following: Material Planning, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Inventory Management, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, or Production Planning

Experience in a large, complex multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environment

Familiarity with defense aerospace industry & regulations
