Job Duties and Responsibilities


The SVP, Retail Wireless Marketing should be a modern, disciplined and high intellect leader who is excited about telling the company’s story in a compelling manner and contributing to further refining and elevating DISH’s brand in the market. This person will be a multi-faceted marketing leader who can leverage analytics and translate commercial insights into strong branding and demand generation strategies. With an appreciation for the operational and customer experience implications of transitioning and relaunching a nationwide brand, as well as launching a completely new postpaid brand, s/he will have had considerable creative experience in ideating, building, and launching innovative marketing campaigns while building and coalescing a diverse team.


• Oversee marketing around Boost and drive marketing strategies for DISH’s expansion into its own postpaid MVNO and 5G MNO. S/he will drive traditional marketing functions such as creative, media, partnerships and experiential marketing with customer experience, retail and product design, customer journey and insights and corporate communications to drive new channels of creativity.


• Play a vital role in shaping the world’s perception of DISH’s Retail Wireless success and growth.


• Define and drive effective lead generation activities that resonate with the customer and fuel pipeline growth for the sales organization. Focus on the customer journey and appropriate segmentation to produce not only leads into the pipeline, but also tracking through to revenue.


• Collaborate cross‐functionally and lead a market‐driven approach to customer needs, product launches, and new market introductions. Produce compelling product marketing and sales enablement materials that align to DISH’s core messaging and go‐to‐market strategy. DISH


• Establish a set of key performance indicators and provide consistent reporting against the marketing team’s objectives. Ensure marketing systems infrastructure and data provide the right insights to support consistent growth and work closely with the IT organization on continued investment.


• Drive efficiency in DISH’s marketing efforts while also focusing on how to continually improve team and program productivity for future scalability.


• Be a visionary, leverage data and market insights, and think strategically to develop, refine and focus DISH’s brand and positioning while operationalizing and ensuring consistent execution of the marketing message through all market‐facing channels.


• Drive the company’s internal alignment and external communications across all market touchpoints. Play a leadership role as company spokesperson and manage relationships with key influencers.


• Attract, develop and retain strong talent. Build a marketing organization that will be able to seamlessly and cohesively support all wireless brands as a shared service. Instill best practices and continue to develop and structure a performance‐based marketing team that efficiently executes the company’s overall and go‐to market strategy.


• Help create an inclusive, dynamic working environment that brings out the best in reporting managers and creates a clear path for staff growth both within marketing and across organizational lines.

Reposition the Boost brand in the marketplace, while also building brand messaging and targeting for the upcoming 5G network that will position it as a fierce competitor upon launch.


• Play a central role in doubling the Boost customer base over the next 3 to 5 years to enable roll out of DISH's own proprietary, nationwide 5G network in the next year.


• Build out a market leading team that will allow DISH to thrive both in the long and short term.

Salary Range


Compensation: $300,000.00/Year - $325,000.00/Year
