Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Marketing is a dynamic, results-driven marketing team responsible for positioning films and streaming content released by Disney (live action), Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and Blue Sky Studios. This organization oversees the Studios’ global marketing strategy encompassing creative, media, digital, international, promotions, publicity, research, special events, and synergy, and handles some the most valuable film brands and franchises of all time. Thanks in large part to the efforts of the marketing team, the Walt Disney Studios has set numerous records at the box office, including being the first and only studio to surpass $3 billion domestically and $7 billion globally in a calendar year, milestones it has achieved twice.


Responsibilities:


Serve as trusted advisor and campaign strategist for filmmakers, senior leadership and key stakeholders on all marketing strategy, positioning and campaign goals for 20th Century Studios titles.

Collaborate closely with Creative Advertising leadership to ensure alignment between creative and campaign strategy.

Lead, set and ensure integrated strategic film campaign vision for the Studio marketing team across all functional areas, including Creative Advertising, Publicity, Digital Marketing, Media, and Promotions & Partnerships. Guide the vision through the creation and dissemination of strategy briefs, brainstorms and planning, steering campaign execution around the globe.

Partner with international teams around the world on campaign development, planning and execution, facilitating best in class campaigns and ensuring communication and synergy across markets.

Work closely with Studio teams including Cinema Partnerships, Music, Integrated Planning, Franchise, and Distribution, developing ideas, stunts and key initiatives to harmonize campaign strategy and maximize box office results.

Lead strategic conversations and partner closely with Enterprise organizations who rely on Studio content to drive their businesses, including Parks & Resorts, Consumer Products & Licensing, and Disney+.

Create campaign strategies with an eye for synergy and franchise opportunities - partnering with segments for mutually-beneficial marketing initiatives across Studio Franchises

Partner with key teams including Research & Insights on testing and fine tuning of campaign plans, with Finance on budgets and spend and serve as key conduit and leader of campaign fine tuning and refinements.


Basic Qualifications:


10+ years marketing experience in major film studio titles and entertainment, whether theatrical or streaming

Experience creating and executing complex marketing campaigns for theatrical, streaming or television content

Experience interfacing with high level executives and filmmakers—using a broad range of capabilities to do so, combining strong cognition, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, both deductive & inductive reasoning, and intuitive thinking

Articulate and confident presentation skills, specifically large group presentations

Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong creative ability along with business acumen

Creative copywriting experience and visual design skills

A decisive personality yet also highly self-aware; possessing an ability to collaborate with, influence and inspire others
