About the Role

You will be part of the EMEA tax team based in Amsterdam. As a Tax Analyst you’ll be involved in the tax strategy advise business stakeholders on tax matters for Uber Freight. Your role will know two main dimensions: a product and a regional dimension.
In your product role, you will get an amazing opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the Uber Freights business model and product. You’ll assess different ideas by applying your tax knowledge, and your knowledge of the Uber Freight business. You’ll also work closely with product engineers and operational teams to ensure correct implementation of new features.
In your regional role, you’ll be the point of contact for local country Freight teams, advise them on local tax matters, be a sparring partner, signal tax risks and rule changes that could affect Freight and work on tax controversy with our regional tax leads. You’ll also be directly involved in any tax related discussions with our shippers and carriers.
What You'll Do
Work with the tax, legal, finance, and operational teams to develop the Uber Freight business model
Review new products and changes to the business model, and develop processes and build relationships to ensure tax is involved in these
Provide regular feedback to tax and other teams team to ensure they understand your role, enabling them to better partner with you on tax issues relevant to Freight
Stay on top of all international and local tax developments in EMEA, analyze the impact for Uber Freight and advise the tax team and business accordingly
Advise country teams on local tax matters, including the local tax impact of new products, all rule changes that could affect Freight, and work on tax controversy, in cooperation with our regional tax leads
Be involved in any tax related discussions with our shippers and carriers.
Create appropriate deliverables for use within the tax department and in the broader company and document all tax input provided
Support other special projects by researching and analyzing the tax issues
What You’ll Need
Masters in Tax Law or equivalent
At least 4 years of experience in a tax environment
International tax experience
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
