This position is responsible for the Company's tax compliance and reporting for income taxes. In delivering the responsibilities of this role, the successful candidate will demonstrate superior technical acumen, partnering with internal business and accounting customers and other tax professionals, effective and efficient project management, and a teaching style intended to develop emerging team members.
Essential Job Duties
Delivery of complete and accurate U.S. federal, U.S. international and state income tax returns, including all related analysis and support, in a timely and controlled manner through rigorous project management.
Delivery of complete and accurate quarterly ASC 740 income tax accounting results in a controlled, effective, and efficient manner.
Identification and implementation of routine value-added tax planning opportunities; partnership with and support of our dedicated tax planning and tax M&A team.
Lead and develop a large team of tax professionals with varying levels of experience.
Partner with Tax Operations technical, forecasting, and transformation & technology leaders to deliver on the team vision and strategic objectives.
Partner with finance controllers to ensure end-to-end GAAP-to-tax acumen and application of tax requirements with respect to financial results.
Oversight of routine domestic income tax audit proceedings; partnership with and support of our dedicated IRS CAP relationship team.
Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.
Experience with ERP systems and tax software, specifically Corptax and OneSource.
Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Innovative thinking, including with respect to process transformation.
Agile and analytical mindset.
Data and digital fluency, including familiarity or experience with emerging technologies (e.g. visualization, RPA/RDA, workflow and dashboard tools).
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting.
At least 15+ years of related experience
5+ years in a public accounting firm.
Master's Degree in Business Taxation preferred.
JD and/or CPA preferred.
