This position is seeking an engineering leader responsible for all engineering aspects of our automatic test system-related portfolio. Responsibilities include: 


-Functional leadership over a 50-90 person, multi-site, engineering workforce, to include staffing, resource planning, career planning and mentoring

-Project technical, schedule, and financial performance across all programs

-Ensure preparation and approval of competitive engineering bids that are executable, meet established price-to-win targets, and grow the business

-Provide leadership for the development and evolution of our R&D investment strategy, including developing and maintaining a technical road map that supports the product line vision

-Liaison between Engineering, customers, applicable internal program offices to improve/maintain customer satisfaction, grow existing programs and identify and capture new business opportunities

-Liaison to industry trade organizations (IEEE, NDIA Automatic Test Committee, COTS vendors) to assess market trends and to establish and maintain business relationships with potential suppliers and partner organizations


Typical Education & Experience 

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience


Required Skills and Education 

-Proven performance directing technical teams, managing resources, mentoring, coaching, and communicating as a leader and team member

-Thorough understanding of industry best practice engineering development processes and management of engineering development programs

-Technical program leadership experience and automatic test equipment knowledge

-Experience leading engineering capture teams and developing discriminating technical proposals

-Experience evaluating internal and subcontractor estimates, assessing risk, and facilitating design-to-cost activities against business price-to-win objectives

-Functional supervisory experience for a highly technical and innovative engineering and development work force

-Significant experience working with non-engineering functions and business processes (e.g., Business Development, Contracts, Pricing, Finance, Procurement)


Preferred Skills and Education 

-Subject matter expertise in test equipment hardware and software technologies, including industry and customer trends

-Visionary thinking to develop new opportunities and maintain production products

-Experience presenting new ideas and company capabilities to potential customers, and listening to customers ideas and needs to help shape new business opportunities

-Experience working across company business sectors to develop new business opportunities
