What does a great Vice President of Cloud Security do at Fiserv?

This is a high visibility new role at Fiserv, where we need someone with hands on technical chops as well as solid leadership skills.

You’ll act as the technical cloud security SME for a corporate cybersecurity organization having oversight over multi-cloud infrastructure services. We need a been there, done that candidate that has worked in the Cloud space in large enterprise environments.

You’ll provide leadership for an enterprise cloud security program which addresses technology governance, business enablement and cybersecurity practices

We need someone who can develop and document cloud security strategy, standards, procedures, best practices, reference architectures, integration patterns, best practices and roadmaps. Each day will be full of variety as you work with cross-functional teams to support business driven cloud initiatives and cybersecurity cloud security projects to provide guidance, communicate security requirements and perform security design reviews.

The biggest piece of this role is managing a cloud security governance program which partners with cybersecurity risk management towers, business and technology groups to consolidate process and technical control requirements into a cohesive, enterprise strategic and operational approach to cloud security. To that end, you’ll provide executive reporting on program efficacy based on program execution milestones and metrics.

You’ll ensure deployment of process and technical controls for cloud governance including integration of cloud services and workloads into corporate cybersecurity services to create a safe environment.

We need someone who is up to date and maintains knowledge of current and emerging trends in cloud technologies and threats. You’ll serve as an advocate and promote awareness of corporate cybersecurity policy, standards and guidelines.

Additionally, you’ll manage a team of Cyber Security engineers engaging in the business of securing employee, company and customer data in the cloud environment.

We need someone who can:

•Present information regarding work progression and status in a clear and concise manner and efficiently lead a team of engineers is critical.

•Be well versed in cybersecurity security risk management, 3rd party risk, privacy, regulatory and compliance considerations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, PCI, PHI, PII) impacting on architecture decisions and technical configuration

• Demonstrate understanding of cloud relevant security frameworks (e.g., CCM, FedRAMP, ISO 27001/18, NIST 800-53 and/or NIST CSF) including the ability to correlate framework objectives to/from corporate information security standards

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

Bachelors Degree or high school diploma/GED

Minimum of 10 years in IT

Minimum of 5 years in security roles

•Certifications such as AWS, Azure and/or GCP; CCSP, CCSK or CCAK; and/or CISSP, or GIAC IT

•Hands-on experience as a technical engineer or architect with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform

•Proven experience performing detailed security assessments of cloud-based architectures, native services, workload implementations and new technologies

•Solid understanding of governance practices which address enterprise-level, cloud security decisions, standards and roadmaps in partnership with business and technology stakeholders

•Strong background in cloud native and ‘lift & shift’ traditional compute deployments

•Practical knowledge with build/deploy automation, container, Linux/Windows, microservice, orchestration and virtualization technologies

•Excellent command of concepts related to application security (API, mobile, web), data protection, encryption, key management, IAM, incident response, network security, secrets management, security operations, threat modeling and vulnerability management as well as experience working with relevant security technologies which provide appropriate identify, protect, detect and respond controls
